Coastal & Proud

A little bit of
North Carolina, in
everything we make.

Coasters, ornaments, and decor engraved with the coastline, the landmarks, and the small-town names that make this state home.

The Collection

Three ways we put NC on display

Every piece starts with something true about this state — a coastline, a landmark, a town name — engraved by hand.

Coastal Coasters & Boards

Slate and cork coasters engraved with sea turtles, compass roses, and a coordinate or town name of your choosing.

NC-Themed Ornaments

Lighthouses, the state outline, and coastal motifs sized to hang on a tree, hook on a bag, or sit on a shelf year-round.

Lighthouse, Pelican & Dock Decor

Lightboxes, key holders, and boat-cleat racks built for a beach house entryway or a covered porch.

Set of four personalized engraved slate coasters with a Wilmington North Carolina compass, sea turtle, monogram, and funny quote design

NC Notes

A few things we love about our home state

Small facts worth knowing before your next coastal gift — or your next trip to the Outer Banks.

Tallest on the Coast

Cape Hatteras Lighthouse

Standing nearly 200 feet tall, it's the tallest brick lighthouse in the United States — and one of the most recognizable on the East Coast.

Moved to Save It

The Move of the Millennium

In 1999, engineers relocated the entire Cape Hatteras Lighthouse nearly 2,900 feet inland to protect it from beach erosion.

A Sailor's Warning

Graveyard of the Atlantic

The shoals off Cape Hatteras have wrecked so many ships over the centuries that sailors gave these waters their grim nickname.

First in Flight

Kitty Hawk, 1903

The Wright Brothers made the world's first powered flight on the Outer Banks — it's even printed on our license plates.

Where the Nickname Comes From

The Tar Heel State

NC's nickname traces back to its early tar, pitch, and turpentine industry, harvested from the state's pine forests.

200 Miles of Sand

The Outer Banks

A roughly 200-mile string of barrier islands separates our mainland sounds from the open Atlantic.
